Country Girl USA

This past weekend I had the opportunity to do a shoot with a young lady who is looking to build a portfolio as an aspiring model. She is great to work with and very “girl next door” down to earth.
Fellow photographer Roger Toliver  and I had a wonderful time at a great location in Bixby, OK.

On location shoots are great. They are like a mini adventure for the “model(s)” and the photographer(s). What’s even better is that on location offers the use of “props” that you don’t have to tote around and you could go ANYWHERE! 🙂 I love on location. The same location varies with each person or group you shoot as personalities do come out and do make a difference. ❤

Every day is a journey through the adventure of life….and we should always make the most of the adventure! Wouldn’t want to miss anything 🙂

So…who’s up for a shoot? Contact me!

You can locate me on Facebook, Twitter, my Website, and you can see galleries on both my website and facebook pages. Please visit and let me know what you think! 😀

Have a wonderful week! …til next time!

ONE Photograph!

IF….

IF you had to…..

IF you had to pick only ONE….

IF you had to pick only ONE photography…..?

Which ONE would it be?

If you had to pick ONLY ONE photograph that described YOU, the life you have lived….only ONE photograph to describe who you are, where you came from, what you enjoyed, only ONE for others to remember you by—–Which ONE would it be?

Often this choice isn’t ours to make. Tragedies strike. Fires burn buildings, which contain belongs which have memories….and all is gone. Tornadoes take these same things and scatter them to the four corners of where ever or rip them all to shreds. Gone. People leave this world for the next and someone else takes the lead in choosing THEIR favorite photographs….but IF you had to choose, could you?

What would you look for? What would you see? Would you care?

In the digital age, we have cameras to document everything. Mother Nature still decides to thin things out now and again….but our life is in pictures. We post them on Facebook, Instagram, blogs, twitter, and whatever social media platform we choose to play with on whatever given day.

People say once it is in cyberspace, it is there forever. Forever is a LONG time and data gets lost in cyberspace. The photo may survive…but knowledge of the person(s) in it may not be wholly accurate.

What photo would you choose to be you…forever and why? What do you think that photo says about you that you want to have people remember?

Princess of the People
Princess Grace
Rita Hayworth (pin-up)
Christopher Reeve (or Superman)
Linda Carter or Wonder Woman

The photos here are not mine…they are however some I think you will recognize. They are what we see (or saw) of one specific person or idea of a person/character….they help get the point across. What say you?

Social Media Etiquette

We can not be reminded enough in today’s social media arena of what is “forever”….why do I say this? Just because you post it then delete it doesn’t mean someone else hasn’t already saved it somewhere else. Ashley makes wonderful points in her blog here which I am so happy to reblog…..It is very true! We are ego-centric oriented in today’s society. And if you don’t believe me….jump on any social media network and read a few posts. We need reminders about social media being global and about using our manners instead of that quick response to something that is probably best ignored. Etiquette is a forgotten word or an “old fashioned” word that many tend to pass over. Thanks Ashley for sharing your blog post “Social Media Etiquette” with all present in cyberspace. 😀

Frustrated by Social Media?

Are YOU frustrated by Cyberspace?

I read an article or blog post the other day. It talked about the frustrations of a photographer and listed the main frustrations of a lot of today’s modern photographers. Among those frustrations was blogging, websites, and social media.

Outsource! Contact Me!
frustrated Photographer

IF you are a frustrated photographer in these areas, then you should outsource to someone who loves to be involved in these areas. We tend to out source the accounting areas with not much hassle. Why not outsource these as well.

Personally, I love to blog. I enjoy social media and websites too. They are all forms of creativity. We all get frustrated at things that are viewed as “out of our realm of comfort” or “area of expertise”. Things that make that list of obligations are a source of frustration as well.

For those that are frustrated in the areas of cyberspace…contact me! I will be glad to offer my services in that area. A phone conversation or email can set things on the right track for YOU! I can be reached via email (mishalowther@gmail.com), phone, or facebook. I also tweet, blog (obviously) and would love to help YOU!

Cyberspace frustrating YOU? Contact Me!

Cyberspace doesn’t have to frustrate you. Are you frustrated because you would love to do this but don’t have the time? I can still help you. Contact me and let’s see if we can make YOUR daily workload easier!

Not a photographer? Still frustrated by social media, blogging, facebook, twitter, websites, etc?? I can still help you out. I love to blog and spend time doing all of these things. It is a wonderful thing to spend the time doing what you love! We all love our business. It’s what we do and what we create. Loving what you do makes life much happier and easier to enjoy.

Have a great day and enjoy the things around you!
