I was given the priviledge of photographing the run for a team called “Surgical Strike Force”. The run was awesome fun even with the heat. August has seen some drastically hot temperatures and alot of fires. Proceeds from the Mud Run go to the Oklahoma Firefighters Burn Camp which services children that are burn victims, or children that have any disfiguring type injuries.
The Tatur Mud Run is a fun one to two mile frolic through muddy obstacles. Just a sampling of the obstacles include:
The Tummy Crawl
The Tire Dive
The Z Slide
The Mud Run was held at 12000 East 31st Street in Tulsa, OK across from the Green Country Event Center.
Surgical Strike Force ran the noon race. Here is their storyboard!
The TATUR Organization put on an awesome event!
Everyone had an awesome time….check out more:
and got splattered….
and drenched in the trenches of mud at the Z slide….
And crossed the finish line covered in MUD!!! Awesome fun had by all on a very HOT August day in Oklahoma!
Thanks for letting me tag along to shoot your team, Surgical StrikeForce. It was a blast! It was also for a GREAT CAUSE!
The first day of summer is usually somewhere arounnd June 21st. This year is about that….wow….June is almost gone. But summer is arriving.
Hope everyone haad a wonderful time celebrating Father’s Day!
This weekend should present some awesome photo opportunities. I will be visiting southeastern Oklahoma in the Kiamichi Mountains. Beaver’s Bend State Park is lovely. I remember seeing it in the fall when all the leaves were turning. This will be a different time of year for me of course but I am looking forward to it. 😀
I hope to have plenty of photos to share here with you soon.
Have a lovely week and check back to see what I have captured….
or call and make an appointment to have a portrait done. Summer and Spring make for lovely on-location shoots….
Ok…I have been a lousy blogger since my last post.
I admit my photography days have been on vacation. I spent most of May with family or volunteering on weekends at the Castle of Muskogee. For those that have never been to the Castle of Muskogee or have never seen OKRF, please allow me to share this year’s experience with you.
I volunteered to be part of Royal Gauntlet – birds of prey show at the fair. I have done this off and on for the last six years. This year is the first year I did not have a camera 24/7 at the Ren-Fair. This is unusual for me. I usually end up with 400 photos a day to go through and post. Apparently this year was very different. Most of the pics I have and enjoy were taken by friends and fellow photographers that share an interest in Royal Gauntlet and its activities as a Rehabilitation facility for birds of prey. You can follow Royal Gauntlet on facebook and at www.theroyalgauntlet.com.
I would love to showcase a few photos from fellow photographers here in this blog. Photography is a hobby, love, and career for me. I share my interest with many others and therefore would love to share their work here too. There are some wonderfully talented photograaphers out there. I am glad to call these particualar photographers my friends.
