This past weekend I had the opportunity to do a shoot with a young lady who is looking to build a portfolio as an aspiring model. She is great to work with and very “girl next door” down to earth.
Fellow photographer Roger Toliver and I had a wonderful time at a great location in Bixby, OK.
On location shoots are great. They are like a mini adventure for the “model(s)” and the photographer(s). What’s even better is that on location offers the use of “props” that you don’t have to tote around and you could go ANYWHERE! 🙂 I love on location. The same location varies with each person or group you shoot as personalities do come out and do make a difference. ❤
Every day is a journey through the adventure of life….and we should always make the most of the adventure! Wouldn’t want to miss anything 🙂
You know: it’s that day that you bring cards and candy for everyone in class!
Who doesn’t have a favorite childhood memory of Valentine’s Day and emptying your decorated sack or box of Valentines to see what your friends have given you this time!
I hope you enjoy this Valentine’s Day…it’s a great day to let your friends know they are special. We commercialize it and capitalize on the fact that this is THE day that you are suppose to buy that special someone something expensive OR be in the doghouse! Valentine’s Day is a day of love and appreciation. There are so many specialpeople in our lives that we take for granted every day. Take one day out of the year (other than their birthday) to surprise them and tell them they mean something to you. Life is busy! The tides RUSH in and RUSH right back out. It never stops! Don’t wait. Share the love, the friendship, the memories! today!
Valentine’s Day is Thursday, February 14th, 2013….
take some time to breath… and share it with a friend!
Ok…so we are all tired of hearing about the fact that it is a new year and it’s time to make all those resolutions and goals …..which never quite seem to make it past January. Well, Misha’s Photography and Restoration is making a “new year’s resolution”. We need YOU to hold us accountable. You get the winning end of the deal so there is something in it for someone besides us! Yeah! That’s the good news.
So….what is this new year’s resolution we are making, oh ten days into the new year? Glad you asked! This year we are offering a monthly special or drawing. You will have to watch the blog for postings on what is happening…and by all means, let us know if you (or WE) missed something…can’t have that!
January is the month of resolutions and ringing in the “new year”. Well, post your resolutions here in the comment section of our blog. Each post then becomes eligible to WIN! …..check back with us to find out more! A new blog should be posted weekly!
I know you are probably tired of hearing me say that but it is so true. It is the time for fun and lots of events are taking place. Check out Haunted Castle at the Castle of Muskogee. I love costumes and photos and people! This is the perfect time and place for both!
The Corgi picnic was a great time to share that celebration.
Thank you for the invitation and opportunity to photograph the guests at the Corgi picnic this year. I hope to see you all again next year! Don’t wait til next year though!
I will photograph your pet any time! 😀
For those that were at the picnic, don’t forget to check out the photos available for purchase. Your Corgi’s were awesome guests! I loved the race and the family photo sessions too! I look forward to hearing your opinions about the picnic and the photos!
Don’t hold back! Let us hear all about it!

Collages are alot of fun! The photo session is only a part of the experience for me…I can’t describe the enjoyment I get from these projects! They are awesome!
It isn’t often you get to see so many “girls” enjoying such an event as this one pictured above. We all loved it. My daughter also attended 2011’s open hunt and is already planning on accompanying me to the one that will surely take place in the fall of 2012, this year!
The enjoyment we shared out in the field was what I tried to put into this collage. I know it is different than the family portrait collage…but collages can come in may variations. You just need the imagination and the inspiration….and viola!
I hope this one looks familiar. This collage was done to show my photos in a unique way. I enjoy photographing many different things. Most people think of photography as just portraits or art that you hang on your wall. Most people thing of the portrait side. Art is usually another category all together. I think it all links together. This is my hobby; my work; my passion; my career…..and I love it! I hope you do too.
While spring is not officially here until March 21st, Spring break is right around the corner!
The weather here in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area has been giving us sneak peeks at what is to come. I hope some have been able to get out and enjoy it! I cannot wait! I am looking forward to more outdoor shoots and the ren-fairs that are coming too!
Senior Portraits taken outdoors are almost in session! On location photography is starting to bloom for the year too! Such an exciting time! Come and JOIN US!
This year’s open hunt was held in Coweta, OK off of highway 51.
The weather was good and the demonstrations were plentiful.
If you were there, you had a unique experience. Royal Gauntlet showed a Eurasian Eagle Owl, a Saker Falcon, a Peregrine Falcon, a Great Horned Owl, a few Harris Hawks, a few Red-tailed Hawks, and a couple of flight demonstrations with certain birds.
Open Hunt is held each year at the beginning of November. If you missed the 2011 hunt, catch us next year in 2012. Reminders will be announced at the castle of Muskogee’s ren-fair as well as on Royal Gauntlet’s blog. . . . so come to the Castle of Muskogee to see the birds that were at open hunt. The ren-fair is held every weekend in May!
We are FIVE days into the new year leaving 360 days to go….
What will you do with those days??
Spring is just around the corner!
When all things bloom and pictures are colorful…along with the birds and lil chicks of Easter time….Misha’s Photography would love to schedule appointments for Easter photos taken on location. Do you have a favorite place where you would like photos taken? Let us know.
