The Wedding

Weddings are cherished moments that live on for two people for an eternity.

The end and the beginning…..of two journeys.

The Wedding….

…the end of that journey and adventure of single life.

…the beginning of a life together as partners,

…the beginning of shared possibilities,

…the beginnings of a lineage, a heritage continuing on into the future.

May your Journey together...Last Forever
Congratulations!

The Groom….

Williams Rt 66 Marathon – Tulsa, OK

RUN! ….. RUN!…. and RUN! But have FUN too!

I ran my first 5K in 2011. My Husband is a runner and has participated in several runs and relays over the past 12 years. This year our children have joined the family hobby and ran their first 5K’s this past July 4th.

I love marathons! If you go to the 5K fun run and walk event, you get to see alot of energy and support and FUN! People really do enjoy these. I have ran the last two for Williams Rt 66 Marathon so I haven’t any photos to share. I can say a runner’s competition really is themselves! I accomplished the goal of beating last year’s time….Now being a runner just doesn’t really fit a description I would use for myself. But I do finally have two 5K’s under my belt and next year’s time is gonna take a little more effort I think…but topping yourself is a good challenge.

Williams Rt 66 Marathon 2012
Running is Competing with Yourself! Have FUN!

I did manage to make it out to the marathon/half marathon event this year too … as a photographer. I love the energy and the enthusiasm you find at a marathon. Waiting for someone to cross a finish line takes patience.  Let me tell you, trying to meet them along the course is even more complicated!

It is worth it to see familiar faces along the way and I can see why most races map out the course for their runners! the photo opportunities are awesome too! People run in costumes, colors, and all manner of styles!

Check out the Rt66 Gallery from Sunday, November 18th, 2012.

Run…stay fit…have FUN!

Tulsa from Out-of-Town

I found it interesting to get a traveler’s opinion of the city I live in…. what they found here, what they thought about it…what was worth their time to blog about!
Check it out: http://kvklauer.wordpress.com/2012/07/26/tulsa/

Tell me what you think about Tulsa, OK and about your hometown.

What do adventurers and travelers say about your city?

On a shoestring, at the drop of a hat

Good morning everyone and happy Thursday. Today we will continue our recap of our big summer trip that we just finished up earlier this week. After spending a great night talking and eating delicious Thai food with our friends Yadi and Rob in San Francisco we boarded a Delta flight to Tulsa early Sunday morning. Well, actually, in order to get to Tulsa we had to fly to Minneapolis. This is absolutely a round about way to arrive in Tulsa but it happened to be the most affordable on our day of departure.

Upon arriving in Minneapolis we realized that we would need to take a long walk across the airport. This allowed us to take in the vastness that is Minneapolis/St. Paul International. There were so many shops that it felt as if we had been transported into a mall. There were souvenir shops, clothing stores, and restaurants every…

Morracan Room

Morracan Room

The most romantic, exotic room in T-town!

Tulsa is a wonderful place. I have lived here throughout most of my life and amazingly enough, I am still finding out things I didn’t know about Tulsa, OK — the place I grew up…..

Valentine’s Day is tomorrow….

If you are looking for a quaint, cozy, warm, romantic evening to share with your sweetheart….here is just the ticket for you!

I recently visited the “Inn at Woodward Park”. It’s right off of 21st street across from Woodward park located between Peoria and Utica.

This little bed and breakfast is marvelous! It has four rooms available for guest use.

Check it out:

Morracan Room

The most romantic, exotic room in T-town!

The Moroccan room is bold and exotic decorated with vivid blues, passionate reds and fabulous golds. It’s right out of a dream….think Arabian Nights, Sinbad….or any pirate you like (such as Jack Sparrow even)….

The innkeeper is a wonderful lady. Her name is Janet. She is very sweet, polite, accommodating and informative. The Inn has a beautiful sunroom  upstairs where you can enjoy coffee, or other refreshments as well as a formal dinning room for breakfast. You may also wish to opt for breakfast in bed….adds to the romanceIi mentioned earlier. After all,  we are talking “Valentine’s Day”.

Speaking of Romance…there is even a romance package that gives you wine (chilled) and cheeses and fruits all ready and waiting for your arrival if you order this when you reserve your stay at the Inn.

I had a glorious time relaxing in a jacussi tub and a four poster bed complete with curtains and a wonderful imagination….Use your imagination this Valentine’s Day and let The Inn at Woodward Park help you celebrate with your special Valentine!

One more wonderful thing about this inn…..it is soooooooo close to many dinning options….

Olive Garden at Utica Square, Polo Grill at Utica Square, P F Changs also at Utica Square….are not even one mile down the road! Isn’t that spectacular?? Cherry Street with its shops and dinning options is just around the corner too! Cherry Street is the area on Fifteenth Street between Utica and Peoria in Tulsa.

Plenty of Romance in the area….and a stroll through the park is great too….though the weather for this area has gone into winter for the week….Mother Nature decided to make winter snuggle weather for Valentine’s Day….imagine!!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!! Whatever you decide to do, I hope you enjoy it with someone special!
