Wonderland of Frost

Frosted Wonders of Winter

Oklahoma has had a real winter so far this year. Snowed more times than I can keep track of and iced over and all the school’s snow days have pretty much vanished with this year’s abundance of winter weather and road conditions.

I love the snow. I am not so fond of the cold but they sort of go hand-in-hand. I like the white coating of powder and ice and crystals that make our every day worked into something entirely new.

It’s like looking into a real photograph and actually being able to walk through it into another world…like a book, a painting, or a picture come to life. Something you can actually experience. Magical. Wondrous. Different and yet not different at all…

I hope you get to enjoy some of the winter wonderland Oklahoma has been showered with over the last two weeks. 🙂 whether it is with photos, sleds, experiments, or a book and a nice warm fire…Have Fun 🙂

welcome to wonderland...

Collages and Photography….an Inspiration!

Family collages
Family photos are meant to be a fun and awesome experience. This one was a blast for all! Can't you tell?

Collages are alot of fun! The photo session is only a part of the experience for me…I can’t describe the enjoyment I get from these projects! They are awesome!

Falconry (My kind of Hunting)
This was open hunt 2010 with Royal Gauntlet.

It isn’t often you get to see so many “girls” enjoying such an event as this one pictured above. We all loved it. My daughter also attended 2011’s open hunt and is already planning on accompanying me to the one that will surely take place in the fall of 2012, this year!

The enjoyment we shared out in the field was what I tried to put into this collage. I know it is different than the family portrait collage…but collages can come in may variations. You just need the imagination and the inspiration….and viola!

Misha's Photography and Restoration
Misha's Photography and Restoration collage.

I hope this one looks familiar. This collage was done to show my photos in a unique way. I enjoy photographing many different things. Most people think of photography as just portraits or art that you hang on your wall. Most people thing of the portrait side. Art is usually another category all together. I think it all links together. This is my hobby; my work; my passion; my career…..and I love it! I hope you do too.

Morracan Room

Morracan Room

The most romantic, exotic room in T-town!

Tulsa is a wonderful place. I have lived here throughout most of my life and amazingly enough, I am still finding out things I didn’t know about Tulsa, OK — the place I grew up…..

Valentine’s Day is tomorrow….

If you are looking for a quaint, cozy, warm, romantic evening to share with your sweetheart….here is just the ticket for you!

I recently visited the “Inn at Woodward Park”. It’s right off of 21st street across from Woodward park located between Peoria and Utica.

This little bed and breakfast is marvelous! It has four rooms available for guest use.

Check it out:

Morracan Room

The most romantic, exotic room in T-town!

The Moroccan room is bold and exotic decorated with vivid blues, passionate reds and fabulous golds. It’s right out of a dream….think Arabian Nights, Sinbad….or any pirate you like (such as Jack Sparrow even)….

The innkeeper is a wonderful lady. Her name is Janet. She is very sweet, polite, accommodating and informative. The Inn has a beautiful sunroom  upstairs where you can enjoy coffee, or other refreshments as well as a formal dinning room for breakfast. You may also wish to opt for breakfast in bed….adds to the romanceIi mentioned earlier. After all,  we are talking “Valentine’s Day”.

Speaking of Romance…there is even a romance package that gives you wine (chilled) and cheeses and fruits all ready and waiting for your arrival if you order this when you reserve your stay at the Inn.

I had a glorious time relaxing in a jacussi tub and a four poster bed complete with curtains and a wonderful imagination….Use your imagination this Valentine’s Day and let The Inn at Woodward Park help you celebrate with your special Valentine!

One more wonderful thing about this inn…..it is soooooooo close to many dinning options….

Olive Garden at Utica Square, Polo Grill at Utica Square, P F Changs also at Utica Square….are not even one mile down the road! Isn’t that spectacular?? Cherry Street with its shops and dinning options is just around the corner too! Cherry Street is the area on Fifteenth Street between Utica and Peoria in Tulsa.

Plenty of Romance in the area….and a stroll through the park is great too….though the weather for this area has gone into winter for the week….Mother Nature decided to make winter snuggle weather for Valentine’s Day….imagine!!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!! Whatever you decide to do, I hope you enjoy it with someone special!
