Remembering….

September 11, 2001…

Remembering is key to not repeating…learning from the past.

September 11, 2001 is one of those days that will live and be remembered for a long time to come. It ranks with April 19th, 1995, November 22nd, 1963….to name a few.

There is unity ESPECIALLY in the face of tragedy. Those are the times that no matter who you are or how connected to the incident you are, you remember where you were, what you were doing, and how you felt at that moment in time.

Not many memories offer that stark of a contrast to life nor do those memories bring such heartfelt compassion for friends, neighbors, and even strangers.

We are a blessed nation….we fight for our freedom…we should never take it for granted for there are those who experience these tragedies and other atrocities on a more regular basis…they are still fighting.

God bless our Nation, our Soldiers, our Heroes….and those who support them!

Each plays an important role…for none could do one without the other.

God Bless America and OUR Heroes!

Broken Arrow, Main Street

Broken Arrow, Oklahoma is but one of Tulsa’s neighbors. There is a lot of rich history for both towns. One thing I like about Broken Arrow is its support of our troops.

This is a memorial erected at Veteran’s Park on Main Street. It is actually a memorial for the women who have served in the armed forces from the American Revolution through the present day. There are photos that make it eye-catching and draw the youngest that cannot read to the oldest who can relate the history.

The support of our troops shows the support of those who have given us our rights to freedom and the way we live life today. Without our Armed Forces both past, present (and future) there would be no United States and our freedoms, I am sure, would be fewer. Thank you to those that have served….
